Wes Welker foot comments were invading the Patriots wide receiver's press conference.
Welker was counted as having made 11 references to feet or to toes during the interview.
Among his comments were "There are the games you play for. What you spend all year getting ready for and you just want to put your best foot forward."
Talking about his injury last season, he said, "I had my foot up in the air trying to get the swelling to go down and things like that."
On talking about the playoffs, "It's a playoff atmosphere and you can't just stick your toe in the water."
And when talking about other players, he continuously said they have "good feet."
Were all of these references meant to be a jab at Jets head coach Rex Ryan, who is rumored to have a foot fetish? Weeks ago, foot fetish videos on the internet appear to feature Ryan's wife. In one of the videos, the cameraman talks and it sounds suspiciously like the coach.
According to teammate Jerod Mayo, “He was just answering the questions. That’s all I’m going to say. He was just answering the questions.”
